Former Pulaski County High School football standout Winston Hines had a very successful collegiate career at Georgetown College.

Hines, a 2009 Pulaski graduate, was selected to the Defensive First Team of the 2012  Commonwealth Collegiate Team –  winning out over all the other safeties from UK, Louisville, WKU, EKU, Murray, and all other colleges in Kentucky.

Hines, a 3-year starter as a safety while at Georgetown, was 2-time All-Mid South Conference Selection in 2011 and 2012.

Hines was one of the Tigers’ leaders on two undefeated  teams, that were ranked number one in the nation.  (2011, 2012)

As a member of the Georgetown Tiger football squad, Hines won three Mid-South Championship rings (2010, 2011, 2012), and one NAIA Final Four Playoff Ring.  (2011)

Hines was a two-time All Mid-South Academic Team.  (2010, 2012), and he was selected as a member of the 2012 COSIDA Academic All-America  Team.

Hines was awarded the prestigious ‘Tiger’ award –   given annually at Georgetown for outstanding leadership and attitude.

The Hall of Fame had previously announced that UK offensive lineman Larry Warford and Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater were offensive players of the year and that Thomas More defensive back Zach Autenrieb was defensive player of the year.

UK players joining Warford on the first team were linebackers Avery Williamson and Alvin Dupree and place-kicker Landon Foster.

Sugar Bowl champion Louisville topped all schools with seven players on the first team.

The Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame started the All Commonwealth Collegiate Team in 2010 to recognize young players at a local level.
