The University of Louisville Athletic Department will stream the defending national champion men’s basketball team’s final two scrimmages in the KFC Yum! Center live on CardsTV.
The Oct. 12 Red-White scrimmage, scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m., will be streamed as an “arena experience,” using the public address audio and the feed from the video board. The Oct. 19 contest, which is sponsored by Mark’s Feed Store, will start at 1 p.m. and will showcase a full-scale broadcast.
It will be the only two men’s basketball events that will be available on the CardsTV platform encompassing a video feed.
To watch the subscription-required streams, fans can purchase either a monthly package for $9.95 for the annual membership for $79.95. An online, subscription-based service, CardsTV members can watch live video of home athletics events complete with stats.
The CardsTV subscription is also available through Smartphone devices as well as the iPad. After downloading the free application, the iPhone application can be upgraded to include live audio and video for $4.99 per month or $19.99 per year. On the Android application, it can be upgraded to access the premium content for $9.99 per year.
Fans with a subscription will be able to access other premium-based content:
- Audio broadcasts of all men’s and women’s basketball and football contests (televised men’s basketball and football contests are unable to be streamed)
- Weekly radio shows for football head coach Charlie Strong and men’s basketball head coach Rick Pitino
- Video broadcasts of home women’s basketball games that are not televised
- Video webcasts of home men’s and women’s soccer matches, field hockey games, volleyball matches, and baseball and softball games
