Reach To Recovery- Breast Cancer program

A breast cancer diagnosis can be a scary thing.  Fortunately, the American Cancer Society has a program that can help make the experience easier.  Reach to Recovery pairs a specially trained breast cancer survivor with the new patient to provide information, support and encouragement.  If you or someone you know could benefit from a visit by a Reach to Recovery volunteer, call the American Cancer Society at 1-800-ACS-2345 or visit www.cancer.org

Hearing the words “you have cancer” can be frightening. But, there’s no need to make the journey alone.  The American Cancer Society provides many resources and programs to help those with cancer and their families.  Call 1-800-227-2345 or visit www.cancer.org to contact someone who understands.

Call (606) 678-0203 x22 for questions, or Bette Pelston or Cathy Lacour at the CTC. Email is :  intouchky@yahoo.com.

Man to Man Prostate Cancer Discussion Group

Have you or someone you care about been diagnosed with prostate cancer? If so, you have many questions.  Man to Man is a volunteer group of men for the American Cancer Society. These men are prostate cancer survivors and are willing to answer questions and give different points of view. Man to Man meets monthly on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Lake Cumberland Cancer Treatment Center. Usually there is a program followed by  discussion.  For more information call 1-800-ACS-2345.
