A new study due out next week in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology shows that cholesterol levels jump by as much as 10-point-5 points, or 9-percent in women during menopause. Researchers followed over 1,000 women for 10-years and found that in every woman cholesterol levels jumped around the time of menopause. Menopause normally occurs around age 50 but can happen as early as 40 or as late as 60.
